Step 1: Take a deep breath, you’re going to be ok.
Step 2: Don’t accept it.
Injuries happen. They should be rare, but they do. We do our best at making safety and prevention a part of your daily and long-term fitness program. But if you’re training hard, you’ll get some aches and pains from time to time. What happens next is what matters. So what should you do?
Well, the biggest mistake we see people making is WAITING for a problem to fix itself. Rest is just one part of the rehab process, and it is increasingly being demonstrated that proactive approaches (get help) are way more effective than passive ones (wait it out).
With that, we’d like to welcome Dr. Christopher Nizer of Ball Chiropractic to our blog!
Hello Cypher Community!! For those who don’t know me, my name is Dr. Christopher Nizer and I’m a Doctor of Chiropractic. I’m writing to tell you about the importance of chiropractic care, specifically as it relates to the awesome accomplishments you all achieve every day at Cypher Health & Fitness! Our bodies take on compressive forces day in and day out just from the effects of gravity. Add on a 200lb Back Squat, and the stress on our spines rapidly increases.
Repeated compressive stresses can lead to a slight loss of proper movement in the bones of your spine (vertebrae) and joints, which in turn can interfere with the balance and function of your muscles and nerves. By restoring balance structurally, neurologically, and muscularly, chiropractic can help to improve performance and decrease the potential for injury.
Chiropractors often see patients with:
- Knee pain
- Bicipital tendonitis
- Tensor fasciae latae/IT band syndrome
- Lower back pain, Neck pain
- Tennis elbow, Golfer’s elbow
- Shoulder sprains (rotator cuff injuries)
- Tendonitis
- Sciatica
- Headaches
- Low energy
- Maintenance concerns
Ball Chiropractic Center is happy to work with Cypher members to improve performance and minimize risk of injury in order to reach your maximal potential! Let us know if we can help you improve your overall health and well-being.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christopher Nizer
